Short Cruise

How far does one narrow one’s own space within interlocking structures surrounded by regions and borders? What fills a vast void? Making sense of colors and forms, awakening the image, activating the consciousness or unconsciously transforming the being, a different process of creation comes into play in every way.

“The artist dreams with his eyes open and shapes these dreams,” says Michel del Castillo. The works that emerge as they capture small details and search for various forms contain meaningful traces of the artists’ own existence. Based on the desire to reveal a good idea with the material and then invite the viewer to it, we invite you to discover these works together. Here, the state of “watching”, which evokes process, observation and journey, is interpreted as an instantaneous state that emerges by experiencing the works that are integrated with surface-dimension relations, occupancy and emptiness in space, part-whole relationship, coincidental inferences of the image.

We bring together various problems we have about filling the gaps on the surface with individual images, writing a story and creating a three-dimensional form from it, caring about emptiness, establishing a balance with fullness, exploring the repetition of quantities, breaking perception, being unique; we present different experiences to the audience in a common space and time with the themes of being stuck in space, problems with surface and size, different works and forms.
