05 Apr CAMUS Was Here
We are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the novel “The Stranger”.
A group of artists from Izmir are together for French writer Albert Camus. Artists from different disciplines came together in a joint exhibition for the 75th anniversary of the publication of Camus’ novel “The Stranger”.
Nazım Arslan, Pınar Boztepe-Mutlu, Zekiye Buğurcu, Yusuf Bulut, Özlem Demircan, Özlem Deveci, Melih Elhan, Onur Fındık, Atay Gergin, Ali Kanal, Borga Kantürk, Hatice Mutlu, Ezgi Tokdil, Nilay Uluğ, Özge Yağcı, Ezgi Yakın, Gözde Yenipazarlı-Dinler are participating in the exhibition titled “CAMUS WAS HERE…”. In addition, some of the participating artists will present a performance in the context of the novel “The Stranger” at the exhibition opening.
Naturally, each work in the exhibition is a focus of aura, but it is also a rhizomatic component of an existentialist definition of the stranger.
Curator Simber Atay also invites viewers to meet at “Camus Noir”, which will take place in October 2017 as an extension of this exhibition.
