04 Dec From Natural Paint to Brush Strokes
Maddalena Forcella, a Mexican textile designer, is known for her use of natural dyes in her work. Plants, shells, flowers and insects help the artist, who adopts experimental dyeing methods, to create unrestricted color trails. Forcella has a history of working with local weavers and artisans throughout Mexico, especially in the state of Oaxaca and Chipas, and she blends this experience with natural dyes and works as a design consultant for various institutions and organizations.
