SMALL WORLDS

The boxes in the exhibition “Small Worlds” can be described as boxes in which small interior spaces or installations can be seen through the door hole above them. These boxes draw attention to the relationships between space, time, light and perception. As we, the viewers, stand in a certain place at a certain time, while at the same time our light source is determined; and as we look at these boxes, we are invited to recognize the uniqueness of the landscape we see inside the box as a result of our positioning within given conditions.

In collaboration with the Goethe-Institut and K2 Contemporary Art Center, Brussels-based German artist Stefan Bohnenberger organized the Small Worlds Workshop at K2 Galleri.
